Can God Trust You To Lead?

Being a leader for God is more than the platform and the audience. As a leader, it is very important to represent Jesus Christ in everything you do. Leadership is not about being self-serving, the focus of leadership is about serving your gifts, talents or abilities to others.

There have been many leaders that have erred as they have grown in their ministries and organizations, but this highlights the importance of praying for the entire body of Christ and continuing to pray for all leaders.

When it comes to leadership, God needs to be able to trust that you will serve the people he brings you with his guidance and help. It doesn’t matter whether you are leading your child, a classroom or 1 million followers. God needs to trust that you will put in the same effort, time and energy with one person as you would if you were serving 1 million people. He needs to trust that in everything that you do, you will serve for His glory and in excellence. If God cannot trust you to serve the one person he has brought you, how can he trust you with 1 million of his children?

So, remember that as you lead, whether it’s your family, business or platform, you’re doing it all for God’s glory.

If you’re ever unsure if you are leading well, remember to ask yourself these questions: How is what you’re doing drawing people to God? How is this edifying? and How is what you're doing representing God?
