5 Keys For How To Access The Promises Of God

  1. Be Encouraged! (Timestamp 1:09)

  • Access the promises of God by believing that they are closer than they appear. 

  • “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” - Joshua 1:9

2. Soak In The Lord’s Presence. (Timestamp 2:25)

  • It’s important to know where you are in this specific season. Discern your season by calling on and asking the Holy Spirit. 

  • Check your movement. Are you moving at all? If not, ask the Holy Spirit why. 

  • It’s important to know where you are, even in the midst of the movement.

  • Gather scripture to meditate on. 

  • “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore,” - Psalm 16:11

3. Don’t Give Up, But Contend For The Promises Of God. (Timestamp 6:02 and 14:29)

  • Don’t give up too soon. Wait and rest in the Lord.  

  • The promise may not come in the way that is expected, but it is the way that God intended. 

  • Access the promises of God by continuing to pray, fast, and consecrate before the Lord. 

  • “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him,” - Lamentations 3:25

4. Faith Is Required. (Timestamp 6:15)

  • Pray for a greater measure of faith. 

  • Understand that it’s impossible to please God without faith. 

  • Remember you only need a mustard size seed of faith. 

  • “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him,” - Hebrews 11:6

5. Prepare And Posture Your Heart And Mind. (Timestamp 13:52)

  • Yield to the will of the Father

  • Don’t contend or prepare out of the heart of your own selfish desires, but from the desires of the Lord. 

  • “And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will,” - Matthew 26:39
