Kingdom or Culture?

Kingdom or Culture

As children of God, we are created to influence and impact our environments. So, as you live life, are you being influenced by God and His Kingdom? Or are you being influenced by Culture also known as pop culture or popular culture?

Most people are unaware that they are already influencers because they impact the people around them. The truth is that we are all influencers. But who are you representing?

Being an influencer for the Kingdom of God is about changing things, altering your atmosphere, taking your positions of authority in your spaces/environments, and pulling heaven down to earth. For example, a mother is an influencer because her decisions and lifestyle impact her children and her family.

However, being a Kingdom influencer is also about your heart posture, your walk with God and your ability to add value into people’s lives. But this type of walk is not always popular. The difference between Kingdom and Culture is that Kingdom brings conviction and Culture brings comfort. When your influence is heavily rooted in Culture and not God, you tend to reject the convictions of the Holy Spirit. As a result of this, Culture has normalized a lukewarm lifestyle. This lifestyle recognizes Jesus Christ but it rejects the nudging, promptings and convictions of the Holy Spirit that lead to a transformed life.

As you grow in your relationship with the Holy Spirit, the influence you have on others naturally is a result of your personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. So, if you want to be a Kingdom influencer, sit with the Holy Spirit and allow him to teach you and lead you on how to build and influence for the Kingdom of God.
