Are You Ready To Bloom?

You’ve been in a season of rebuilding, regrowing or regenerating. But when it’s time for you to fully take your positions, places, and spaces of power & authority in the world, will you be ready?

Blooming happens when you’ve fed and nourished your spirit with the word of God, watered and aligned your mind with Jesus Christ, and nurtured and strengthened your habits with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

All these things are important and necessary nutrients that will help increase your capacity to carry, to hold and to maintain the call and purpose that God has for your life. So, if you're ready to bloom, here’s what you need to know:

  1. Save yourself from unnecessary stress by preparing NOW… How? By intentionally making time to specifically talk to God about what He wants you to do (e.g. take a public speaking class, create a mood board for your goals/dreams, study Nehemiah 4 to learn how to build, etc.). Intentionally make the time to sit with God to plan and prepare for the purpose and call on your life.

  1. Protect yourself by guarding your mind and being intentional with the things you allow into it on a daily basis…Remember that “as [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he….” (Proverbs 23:7, NKJV).  So, be conscious about what you’re constantly and consistently feeding your mind. If your mind is always hearing and receiving messages about being a failure then these thoughts will eventually take root and overtime you’ll start to subconsciously make decisions that align with this belief. God created you to be successful in the things that He purpose-d you to do. So, use your power to choose to actively hold those thoughts captive (see & reject them) and make them obedient to Christ (choose what God says over what the thought is saying about that topic/area in your life).

  1. Defend yourself by putting on your full spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-20) daily and maintaining your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Remember…God is your defender, protector, and in Him you’ll find full shelter…even in times of trouble. So, continue yielding to the Holy Spirit daily.

    • Yield how you feel

    • Yield what you think ..and

    • Yield your emotions and responses to God

When you yield to God, you align yourself with Him while having the pleasure and freedom of being honest with God about the different things happening in your life.

But here's a BONUS tip that might help you! If you’re struggling to make time to START your planning or building process, then you can replace the 3 out of the 5 hours you use to watch your favorite show/movie with a character building activity like reading a book (e.g. the Bible, a book on leadership, etc.) or watching a teaching that will help to equip you for the purpose and call on your life.

It’s time to stop running, hiding and shying away…And it’s time to take a stand & bloom in the beauty that God created YOU to bloom in.
